A long-blooming, late red spider.

From Stanley Saxton in Saratoga Springs, New York, who Registered it in 1981 as follows:

" 36 in. height. Late. 5 in. flower. Dormant,
Diploid. Red self with yellow throat. "

With us since 1982, the flowers have been a little larger. (About descriptions).
Bright red. Long narrow petals have a cream yellow pinstripe. Heart is
lime-gold. A fine late performance by Stanley Saxton, an accomplished
musician and choral director, as well as an ardent daylily breeder
of an earlier era. A dramatic flower still not widely known.
