Stella  De  Oro

18 - inch height         2½ - inch flower

For nearly three decades now, America's single most popular Daylily.

From Walter Jablonski in Indiana, who Registered it in 1975 as follows:

" 11 in. height. Early Midseason, Rebloom. 2.75 in. flower. Dormant,
Diploid, Fragrant, Gold self with very small green throat. "

For us, always taller and blooming much earlier. (About descriptions).
The star, blooming here heavily in June and early July, and again through
most of August and all of September. A miniature with nearly round, nicely
flaring, yellow-gold petals. Lightly ruffled. Fragrant. Multiplies vigorously.

One of our half-dozen longest-of-all bloomers. Resembles Camden Gold Dollar,
about a foot taller. Highest among our Top Ten Daylilies for many years. Recipient
of three of the highest awards, the Donn Fischer Memorial Award for 1979, the
very highly coveted Award of Merit in 1982, and the single Stout Silver Medal
for 1985. (Awards). Our stock plants came directly from the originator,
Walter Jablonski.

For a rapid Ground Cover, space plants 12-18 inches apart. Does not spread.
